Welcome to Overland Park Baptist Temple
Thank you for allowing us an opportunity to introduce you to OPBT. Because we live in a complex world of uncertainties, it is important we build our lives on something solid. Jesus Christ is that Solid Rock. When all around us seems like sinking sand our Savior is a sure and stable foundation. The unchanging truths of God’s Word are sufficient to give us strength to continue on. If you are not currently involved in a Bible-believing church, we extend a warm and friendly invitation for you to come and visit our church home.

1. You need to be saved
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
2 . There is a penalty for sin – eternal death
“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23 “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:20
3. Jesus Christ paid the penalty
“…but the gift of God is eternal life though Jesus Christ our Lord”Romans 6:23b
“But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8
4. Accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and if thou shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”Romans 10:9, 10
Sample prayer: “Lord Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I believe you died to pay for my sins. Take me to heaven when I die. Amen.”
If you prayed this prayer to God and were sincere, Jesus just saved you.
“For whomsover shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”Romans 10:13
