- A desire for preeminence – 3 John 9; Colossians 1:8
- Self-justification
- Ignorance – 2 Timothy 2:15
Things which promote peace in the spiritual life
- A genuine love for the Lord and His church – Ephesians 5:25
- A sincere interest in the souls of others – Philippians 2:3-4
- When seeking personal peace, never retaliate – Romans 12:19-21
- When seeking personal peace, we must have an understanding of others
