We are Called to be the Salt and the Light
Matthew 5:13-14
As we conform to the will of our Lord to be the salt and light that He wants us to be, we can be the overcomers who are the preserving agent that will flavor the world around us.
Christ-like Attitudes to resist the conformity of the world
Conduct ourselves with simplicity and Godly sincerity (2 Corinthians 1:12).
Exercise a righteousness that is NOTphony (Matthew 5:16).
Exercise the proper response when mocked, scorned, or persecuted
(2 Timothy 3:12; 1 Peter 2:21-23)
Conclusion
Through this journey of becoming overcomers, God doesn’t want us to get caught up in the sway or influence of the world but keep ourselves blameless and holy and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world.
