OPBT Orientation
The staff, adult teachers, and children’s ministry leaders are available for you to meet and get to know on a personal basis. You will learn about the ministries and direction of our church, as well as benefits of membership, and how to become a part of our church. If you would like to know more about us at Overland Park Baptist, just ask. We are happy introduce our church to you!
Discipleship 101
An 8-12 week course is available to teach you the basics of our faith and beliefs. We recommend every new member and convert sign up for these lessons.
Faith Bible Institute
Advanced Discipleship
This class meets on Tuesday evening from 6:30-9:30pm during the school year. Each hour has a different focus – Old Testament, New Testament, & Bible Doctrine. After three years in the FBI class, you will have the knowledge commensurate with the Scriptural studies of many Bible College degrees.
Ladies' Bible Studies
Each spring and fall we offer an 8-week Bible study for ladies. There are two options available. The first in Monday evening at 6:30pm, and the second is Wednesday morning at 9:30am. This is a great opportunity to enhance your knowledge of God’s Word and bond with other Christian ladies.
Men's Bible Studies
Every Monday evening (except during the summer) a group of men meet together at 6:30pm for in-depth Bible study, lively discussion, mutual encouragement, and brotherly fellowship. A wide variety of topics are addressed in each unique series, with a focus on ascertaining exactly what Scripture says and how to apply it to everyday life.
TEAM (Training Every Available Member)
Teachers & Workers meetings
These meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 9:00 a.m. (Prior to Sunday School during the school year). Our TEAM meetings are for teacher and worker enrichment and motivation. They include Training, Encouragement, Application, and Motivation. We invite all of those involved (or perhaps considering becoming more involved) in any of the ministries of OPBT to attend these meetings.
